Frequently Asked Questions

Will I need a physician's prescription?

We do require a prescription from a physician or a nurse practitioner to start most projects. Please reach out to us with more details about your needs to provide you with more information about the requirements to start a project.

How often will I have to get my prosthesis replaced?

We recommend replacing your prosthesis every 2 years. However, this may vary depending on each patient and their needs.

We recommend that all of our patients do at least 1 follow up appointment each year to guarantee the quality of the products used for your prosthesis.

Active users will have more wear and tear of components and supplies and will have to visit more frequently.

Is there free parking?

Yes, there is free parking at the front of the clinic.

I will be facing an amputation soon. When should I contact you?

You are welcome to book a free consultation at any point. However, most of our patients are redirected to our clinic after their post-operative appointments. We also encourage new amputees to join the peer support available in the community such as AASRA (https://www.aasra.ab.ca/)

I live out of town. Will you travel to see me?

Our Clinicians visit Grande Prairie, Camrose, and Daysland once or twice a month to service these regions. We always recommend visiting our Edmonton location for finishes as we have our full workshop here.
